We quickly called a waitress over when we saw this, and she looked timid as she walked to the kitchen to get the manager (also the chef). My other daughter was gagging when she saw it which is not what is expected when you pay nearly £15 each for a simple fish and chip meal. My daughters chips were dripping with some sort of brown substance which smelled like old oil, and they were very soggy. Well, the meal itself was beyond disgusting. A waitress placed it on the table in a very strange manner, My daughter tried to take her plate out of her hand and she flinched away and explained that they are told to “serve adults first” which is very odd. The food was “cooked” disturbingly quickly and the smell of rotting seafood worsened. I was absolutely shocked at the price for what it is. The chef, a big man with some dirty rags on practically ran up to us upon entry and very aggressively said that you can pay with cash only, so I had to pop out a walk down the road to the nearest ATM. The restaurant is tiny and crammed in and its a very uncomfortable experience having the chef watching you closely when you are sitting down. I cannot believe that this place is legal, they really shouldn’t be allowed to sell food. were very hungry and at this time all the other fish and chip shops were packed to the hilt and we didn’t want to queue in the cold. The table cloths were sticky and covered in ketchup and mustard. Firstly, we were hit with a very strange smell like rotting fish or out-of-date seafood, which was very offputting. Went in here last Monday with my 2 daughters.
